Shannon Vineyards is nestled in the heart of Sylvania, GA. Owned and operated by Jim Shannon and his family, this vineyard started out as a produce farm growing tomatoes, produce and other crops. The grapes in the vineyard are grown for the table, to be used a juices as well as for wine.
With over 200 acres dedicated to growing Muscadine grapes, Shannon Vineyards released its first 6 bottles of wines in 2008. While the Muscadine grape is not a widely known grape in other parts of the U.S. or even the world, it is a common staple in the Southeast.
Complete with their own tasting room, Shannon Vineyards is a sight to behold. Their wine making room contains massive tanks that can hold 18,000 to 52,000 gallons of juice or wine.
Shannon Vinyards can only ship wines through out the State of Georgia however they will soon be adding additional states that they can ship to.
