Clos LaChance Wines

Clos LaChance Wines, located in San Martin, California started its life as a backyard winery planted by Bill and Brenda Murphy to fulfill their lifelong dream of owning a winery. They never expected a commercial success but five years after their first planting of Chardonnay in 1987, they realized their grapes were strong enough to release a commercial vintage.

Clos LaChanceoffers three ranges of wines: the Special Selections Series, the Estate Series and the Hummingbird Series. Each wine in the Hummingbird series, the most cost friendly of the three, is named after a different species of hummingbird that the owners feel in some way represent that particular varietal.

Today, the Clos LaChance is situated in a beautiful location overlooking rolling hills and adjacent golf course. Open daily for tastings and tours, the winery offers a long list of wines and newly constructed bocce court to pass the afternoon.
